Our Mission

Safe family sailing in a marine environment. Teach safe sailing principles and traditions to our children.

2010 Ocean Theme:
"STOP PLASTICS GOING INTO THE OCEAN"
Our Oceans are becoming chocked with plastic debris.  Make choices in your life to reduce plastics.  STOP USING PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES.

History of Our Klub

South Portland Maine was settled in the 1600's. The Native American name for the area was "Purpooduck"; which conveyed the meanings of "remote peninsula near the ocean". Sailing has been a means of life on this coast for over 300 years. Casco Bay presents a wonderful and challenging sailing environment that could provide years of sailing enjoyment at all levels. Kaptain Pete started dry sailing a Flying Scot one design sailboat from the Fore River boat launch in South Portland in 2003. We have grown to a group of cruising class keel boats in 2008.

Klub Officers

We are the "Peoples sailing klub"; we are all on the bridge. We inspire and help each other.
